My story

Hi, my name’s Chris and I’m the founder of Jasper Films.

Captivated by film from a young age, I found myself particularly enamoured by the work of British Film directors, such as Shane Meadows and Danny Boyle.

I chased my passion for film all the way to adulthood, where I satisfied my creative appetite by studying Film, TV and Radio at Staffordshire University. After graduating in 2005, my desire to create led me to start my own business, Jasper Films, named after my grandad Lesley Jasper. My Grandad was a very important person in my life and nothing less than an inspiration to me, so it’s great to be able to pay him homage.

I love the honesty of film; it’s an opportunity to capture another persons’ story as it unfolds, in ultimate clarity, portraying subtle insights that no other art form can.

To me, making films isn’t just about the video itself, it’s about the whole process. Collaborating with other creatives, helping people to get across their messages and seeing reactions to the work afterwards – I enjoy every step.
